αÄïÔ¼ÅÚ

Commitment to Safety

αÄïÔ¼ÅÚ has placed the highest value on safe production for generations. The company’s official safety program was started in 1959 by Henry αÄïÔ¼ÅÚ â€“ years before the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was established in 1970.

Because our employees are αÄïÔ¼ÅÚ’s greatest asset, safe production is important to every job we perform. To achieve this, αÄïÔ¼ÅÚ uses our Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP) to implement our vision:

Our safe production vision is to create a culture and environment where employees work injury free.

The proven best practices include:

  • Demonstrated management commitment
  • Staffing for safe production
  • Safe production planning (pre-job/pre-task/process improvements)
  • Safe production training and education
  • Worker participation and involvement
  • Recognition and awards
  • Subcontractor management
  • Injury/incident reporting and investigations
  • Drug and alcohol testing

Our continued progress in workplace safe production – including each person taking personal responsibility – contributes to our “injury free” culture. “Injury free” is not a goal or a target; it is our commitment to our employees.
